You’ve heard the song. You’ve read the story in “For Women” the book.
Olivia is a play about a woman who has lost her sense of self-respect because of being abandoned by the father she loved so much. Because of this she allows the sheep she thinks is hers to become the wolf without question.
This play is not only for entertainment purposes. It is a statement and testimony for those women who find themselves victim to the same circumstance. Many women “especially African American women” grew up without that vital connection to the man who should be their first roll model, “their father”. The one who teaches them how to protect themselves and where to draw the line when it comes to relating with other men. This play shows how those who love her are also affected by bad decisions made when their self-esteem is shattered. There is a book titled “Smart Women Who Make Foolish Choices”. A wolf in sharp clothes and cane blew her mind and now she’s turned out!
This is the story of Olivia!
Women’s social groups are encouraged to attend.
